GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Fire crews battled a stubborn blaze in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown section early Thursday morning.

The fire broke out just before 3:30 a.m. on the 3800 block of Germantown Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to heavy flames showing on the third floor rear of the house.

Officials say the first floor housed a leather and zipper repair business.

There was a lot of debris inside the building which hampered the fire fighting.

It took about twenty-five minutes to get the blaze under control.

The property was vacant and there were no reports of any injuries.

So far, no word on what sparked the blaze.
