PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Drug Enforcement Administration raided at least seven Advanced Urgent Care facilities in Pennsylvania on Thursday including Philadelphia locations.
Investigators from the DEA and the Department of Health and Human Services raided the Advance Urgent Care on Easton Road in Willow Grove.
While a sign at the location claimed they were closed due to electrical issue, Action News has learned the feds are looking into whether the facilities illegally sold prescriptions.
DEA agents entered the Advance Urgent Care location on the 9400 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia around 11:30 a.m.
At approximately the same time, agents raided the facility on the 5000 block of City Avenue in Wynnefield.
Action News has learned the main doctor at the City Avenue location was taken into custody and employees were questioned.
WFMZ reports the Advanced Urgent Care in Scranton was also raided Thursday.
For now, patients will have to find other doctors as these centers are closed.
