The death of Fidel Castro has reignited questions about New Jersey fugitive Joanne Chesimard - now known as Assata Shakur.

She is wanted for the murder of a New Jersey State Trooper in 1977 and is living in Cuba, where she fled after escaping from prison in 1979.

She was granted amnesty by Fidel Castro.

Just hours after Castro's death, New Jersey State police posted a message on Facebook, saying they'll never stop pursuing her.

There are believed to be dozens of American fugitives living in Cuba.
