Elderly man found murdered in Overbrook home; son in custody

OVERBROOK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police said the son of an elderly man found murdered inside his Overbrook home is in custody.

Around 3 p.m. Wednesday police were called to the 5700 block of Woodbine Avenue.

Police said they found an 82-year-old man dead inside the residence with lacerations to his face and back of the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives are questioning the man's son and charges are pending.
