UNIONTOWN, Ind. (WPVI) -- A pilot, his wife, and their teenage son managed to walk away from an emergency landing in Indiana.

The small plane landed along a highway because of mechanical issues.

The pilot safely guided the Beechcraft V35 Bonanza into the median to avoid oncoming traffic.

Police say Aaron Wright, his wife and 13-year-old son were flying to a soccer game when the plane lost power.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

A passing motorist who was headed to the soccer match stopped and picked up the teenager.
