Simon Gratz High School principal receives bomb threat text, lockdown lifted

Simon Gratz High School in the Tioga section of Philadelphia was placed on lockdown for nearly an hour Wednesday after the principal received a bomb threat text message.

Action News is told around 9:30 a.m. the principal received the text about a person with a bomb in the school at 1798 West Hunting Park Avenue.

The principal called police and placed the school on lockdown.

The bomb squad was also notified.

Authorities say at 10:30 a.m. the all clear was given.
