Man robs Dunkin' Donuts with shotgun in Center City

Philadelphia police are looking for an armed suspect who used a shotgun to rob a Dunkin' Donuts in Center City.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are on the hunt for an armed suspect who robbed a Dunkin' Donuts in Center City Friday afternoon.

The suspect was caught on surveillance walking into the store on the 1300 block of Walnut Street at 1:30 p.m. with a large, black trash bag in his hands.

He ordered a cup of coffee and then sat down inside the restaurant.

A few minutes later he walks back up to the counter to order a donut.

As the clerk hands his his order, he pulls a shotgun out of the black trash bag and says: "Put the rest of the change in the bag."

The employees put all the money in the register into his donut bag.

The thief then told the employees not to "push the button" as he walked westbound out of the store onto Walnut Street.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 5'5"-5'7" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black skull cap, black jacket, cream colored pants, cream colored shoes and carrying a black trash bag with a shotgun inside.
