Police: Stolen car with boy inside crashes in SW Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man driving a stolen car with a 3-year-old boy inside crashed in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near 63rd Street and Eastwick Avenue.

The man lost control and struck a parked Mercedes which careened into a parked truck.

The boy was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.

The driver, believed to be in his 20s, was seriously injured.

Investigators say when he is released from the hospital he will be turned over to police to face charges.
