1 dead after van, tractor-trailer collide in Northampton Co.

WILLIAMS TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a deadly accident in Northampton County.

One person was killed when a cargo van collided with an 18 wheeler on Interstate 78.

Both vehicles caught fire just after 5:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes in Williams Township.

The van driver died at the scene.

Police had to close the highway for several hours.
