A GoFundMe page has been set up to support a former One Life to Live actor who was recently involved in a car accident.

Nathaniel Marston, 40, was critically injured during an accident in Reno, Nevada on October 30th.

Yahoo News reports Marston, who played Al Holden and Michael McBain on the ABC soap opera, could potentially be paralyzed from the neck down following the accident.

His mother Elizabeth Jackson has been updating Nate's progress on Facebook.

She began posting the day after the accident telling his fans to "please pray for my son."

"Nate was able to decide and express very clearly this morning that he is not going to give up without a fight," she wrote.

Elizabeth says Nathaniel was sober during the accident.

She says the goal is to get him breathing on his own, which she says he has been able to do at times.

"The Dr said that there is a good chance that he will recover the use of upper body movement and a slim chance that he will walk again," she wrote.

A GoFundMe Page has been set up by a family friend.

"I live in Gerlach NV which is 120 miles from the hospital in Reno so for the foreseeable future will be spending my time in Reno and will not be able to work to cover monthly expenses.. rent car payment ect... I appreciate your help which will make it possible to cover both Nate's and my monthly expenses until he stabilizes and I can get back to my job," Elizabeth wrote.

"Elizabeth, in a phone conversation Tuesday, expressed her gratitude and amazement at the outpouring of love and support from Nat's fans. She asks for your continued love and prayers while Nat struggles to recover from this terrible accident," a statement on the GoFundMe Page says.

Marston also played the character of Eddie Silva on the soap opera As the World Turns.
