Suspect sought in food market burglary in West Philadelphia

Police are searching for a burglar who broke into a food market in West Philadelphia.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a burglar who broke into a food market in West Philadelphia.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. on October 11.

The suspect was caught on surveillance breaking into the 7 Brothers Food Market on the 5100 block of Brown Street by lifting the sidewalk basement access door.

Once inside the suspect took cash from the registers and numerous packs of cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a black or Hispanic male, 20 to 30-years-old with light a complexion, full beard and medium build. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and rubber gloves.
