WEST ROCKHILL TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Traffic is moving normally again on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike after a multi-vehicle crash.
The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes near mile marker 39, which is between the Lansdale and Quakertown interchanges.
Police said the vehicles, which included two tractor trailers and at least one car, made contact with one of the tractor trailers, partially crossing over into a southbound lane.
At least two people were hurt, but none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
All northbound lanes were shut down for nearly six hours as police investigated and crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles.
All lanes were back open by 3:30 a.m. Friday.
There was no immediate what led to the crash.
