Critical injuries reported after NE Extension crash

MILFORD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Action News has learned that several people hurt in a crash along the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike have critical injuries.

Two adults and four children were ejected from a car in the northbound lanes, in Milford Township, Pa. on Sunday afternoon.

Authorities closed the busy highway for hours to airlift victims to the hospital and re-create the crash scene.

Investigators believe the driver lost control of the car, but don't know why.

The names of those involved have not been released.
