Victim shot with pellet gun and robbed at Wendy's drive-thru in Fern Rock

FERN ROCK (WPVI) -- The search is on for the person who robbed a man and shot him with a pellet gun at a Wendy's restaurant drive-thru window in the Fern Rock section of Philadelphia.

It happened early Tuesday morning at Broad and Champlost streets, a short distance from Philadelphia Police 35th District headquarters.

Police say the shooter walked up to victim, who was sitting in his car, brandished a pellet gun and demanded money.

The suspect shot the victim in the hand before making off with $7 in cash.

The victim refused medical treatment for his injury.
