PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia School District can now out-source substitute teaching jobs.

The School Reform Commission voted Thursday to approve the plan.

A company in Cherry Hill, New Jersey will now recruit, hire, and manage substitutes in the district for two years.

The SRC said more than 400 classrooms were without regular subs, so other teachers were being forced to fill in.
