Teen shot in West Philadelphia, runs home

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 15-year-old boy was shot in the hand and knee in West Philadelphia and then ran home, police said.

Police assembled along the 800 block of South 59th Street late Monday night looking for evidence in the shooting.

Authorities said after being shot, the boy ran to his home a block away.

Police said his mother, who was at home the time, drove the teen to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
