Action News meteorologist Chris Sowers was preparing for his live report on City Avenue on Action News at 9:30 a.m. when a large branch fell off a tree and landed a few feet away from him.

Sowers estimated the branch was 10-feet and fell from a 60-foot oak tree.

In Upper Providence, Delaware County, winds knocked down a large tree on the 200 block of Bishop Hollow Road Sunday morning.



The tree ended up resting on telephone poles. The poles were snapped, and the high power lines fell onto the road below.

A wind advisory is in effect for the Delaware Valley until 4 p.m.
