Philadelphia Police recruits graduate from academy

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- After eight months of training, the next class of Philadelphia Police recruits graduated from the police academy Friday.

The men and women took the oath to protect and serve during a ceremony at Temple University.

The graduating class includes 58 new members of the Philadelphia Police Department.

The rookies come from 20 cities across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
