GRAYS FERRY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police continue to investigate a police involved shooting that left a man in critical condition.

Police were called to the scene along the 1200 block of South 29th Street in the Grays Ferry section of the city around 1:45 a.m. Saturday for a domestic disturbance call.

They arrived to find the suspect irate over the TV and internet not working, blaming the occupants inside the house for the issues.

Police thought the situation was calm, until one of the occupants inside yelled the suspect had a knife.

Police entered and saw the suspect going toward the occupant with the knife. The three officers repeatedly told the suspect to drop the knife.

Two officers had their tasers aimed at the suspect. That's when the suspect lunged at the third officer, who grabbed his gun and fired one shot into the suspect's chest.

The suspect, a 57-year-old man, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
