SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Officials say a sedan slammed into the side of a Philadelphia Police SUV and injured several people, including a police officer.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of 58th Street and Woodland Avenue.
The officer was traveling northbound on 58th Street when his SUV cruiser was struck on the passenger side by another car.
The patrol car ended up on the sidewalk. A light pole and a sign were also taken down in the crash.
The officer was taken to the hospital with a hand injury and a possible concussion.
The people in the striking car were taken to the hospital to be checked out.
