VIDEO: Young patients share in a special Phillies sleepover

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Several young patients from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia turned in their hospital gowns and rooms for Phillies themed pajamas and a night at the ballpark.

This was a sleepover dream and 4-year-old Grayson Savery couldn't believe he got his very own locker in the Phillies Clubhouse.

Phillies Manager, Ruben Amaro offered him a contract and he signed.

Grayson just finished eighteen months of chemotherapy at CHOP.

He joined three other young patients and their family and friends for the sleepover.

Angelina Miele of Williamsport, Pa. said, " It was really cool. It wasn't what I expected."

When Angelina was asked, what were you expecting? She said, "hard floors and sweaty gym lockers.."

The night included a pillow fight with the Phanatic, several rounds in the batting cages, pizza and a movie and a little reporting for channel t too.

A local man bought the package at the Phillies Charities Phantastic Auction and donated anonymously.

It's the first time ever for a clubhouse sleepover.

Angelina's mom, Nicole Miele said, "We're just so grateful for whoever did this for us."

Tim Savery of Avondale, Pa. and Grayson's dad said, "This is a once in a lifetime experience, I don't know if you heard him out there but he said .... I'm really good at this."

10-year-old Brooke Mulford never hit a ball before. She's fighting neuro blastoma for the second time.

Brooke's mom, Amy Muulford of Voorhees, N.J. says, "A couple of weeks after she relapsed she said mommy I'm not sad I got cancer and I'm not sorry it came back because a lot of good things have come out of this too."

And she's counting this night, along with her new friends.

"This kind of stuff makes it like its not so bad having cancer, look at all the cool stuff I get to do," Brooke told her mom Amy.

The fun doesn't end tonight, but when the kids wake up, they get to have breakfast with the Phillies Phanatic.
