1 rushed to hospital after shooting in Norristown

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting on Wednesday night in Norristown.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 500 block of West Marshall Street, near George Street.

Authorities said the victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. There was no immediate word on their condition.

Police have not released details about what led up to the shooting.
