19-year-old killed in Norristown, Pa. shooting identified

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A homicide investigation is now underway after a 19-year-old man was shot and killed over the weekend in Norristown, Montgomery County.

The district attorney's office said police arrived after gunshots were detected at Powell and Spruce streets just after 6:15 p.m. Sunday.

That's where they found the victim, identified as Hamid Boyd, with several gunshot wounds.

Despite efforts to save him, Boyd died at the hospital.

No suspects in this shooting have been identified.
