Car crashes down embankment on Route 202 in Chester County

EAST WHITELAND TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a car crashed and landed down an embankment along Route 202 in Chester County on Friday morning.

It happened just after 11 a.m. in the southbound lanes between the exits to PA 29 South and PA 401 in East Whiteland Township.

Officials say one person was rescued.

There is no word yet on the extent of the injuries or what caused the crash.
