2 firefighters, 1 resident injured in house fire in New Castle County

MINQUADALE, Del. (WPVI) -- Two firefighters and one resident were injured following a fire inside a home in New Castle County early Tuesday morning.

Flames broke out around 5:15 a.m. on the 100 block of Parma Avenue in Minquadale and quickly went to two alarms.

Officials say at least one of the injured firefighters was trying to get out of the home and became trapped.

It's unclear how the other firefighter and the resident were injured.

All three were taken to the hospital. The injuries are not believed to be serious.

Crews remained on the scene to put out any hot spots.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
