The Buffalo Sabres continue their thrilling run toward the Stanley Cup and are now +800 to win this season's championship, an improvement from the 11-1 they showed before taking Game 1 against the Montreal Canadiens (20-1) on Wednesday night.

Buffalo is hot on the tail of the Vegas Golden Knights, who lengthened from +550 to +700 for the Cup after dropping Game 2 in their series against the Anaheim Ducks, who improved from 45-1 to 25-1 with the victory.

The Carolina Hurricanes were briefly +210 Stanley Cup favorites after taking a 1-0 lead in their second-round series against the Philadelphia Flyers (70-1), but the Colorado Avalanche responded in a big way by putting up nine goals to open their series against the Minnesota Wild (30-1) and take back favorite status at +185. The Avalanche and Hurricanes are at +155 and +170, respectively, after taking 2-0 leads in their respective matchups.
