QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Quakertown borough manager and police chief Scott McElree is back at work on a reduced schedule following a confrontation during student-led, anti-ICE protests earlier this year.
The borough solicitor said in a statement that McElree is still recovering from injuries he received during the February incident.
Video surfaced showing confrontations during the protest, with McElree putting a student in a headlock.
Five teenage demonstrators were arrested, though some charges have since been dropped.
The Bucks County Police Chiefs Association found the officers acted according to their training standards.
McElree's return was announced during a borough council meeting on Wednesday night.
