2026 Pennsylvania pep rally

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania is getting ready for its biggest year ever.

From the FIFA World Cup to the nation's 250th birthday and the MLB All Star game, there is a lot happening in 2026.

On Tuesday, Governor Josh Shapiro and 'Visit PA' hosted a pep rally at the Cherry Street Pier.

They officially launched 'Visit PA Playmakers' which are a rotating group of cultural connectors and fun creators who will help transform the major moments ahead.

The playmakers include Betsy Ross, Ben Franklin, Philly Girls Jump, the West Powelton Steppers and Drumline, and West Philly's Music Ambassador, Chill Moody.
