CAMDEN, NJ (WPVI) -- Four men have been arrested and charged in South Jersey for allegedly attempting to lure underage girls through an online chat, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay has announced.
The men are from Camden and Gloucester counties.
Their arrests are the result of investigations that were conducted in March and June of this year.
Richard Williamson, 69, of Sewell, Daniel Henderson Jr., 38, of Lindenwold, Gilbert Wylen, 69, of Audubon, and Theodore Haviland, 52, of Woodbury Heights face a number of charges, including Attempting to Lure a Child and Attempted Sexual Assault of a Minor, among other charges, police say.
Police say the four defendants had been communicating online with a person they believed to be an underage girl.
However, the person actually chatting with them was an undercover detective from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit.
During their individual conversations, and in four separate instances, officials say the men each arranged a meeting at a specified location in Brooklawn, New Jersey for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with the underage girl.
Additionally, police say Williamson, Henderson and Wylen each told the underage girl they would pay amounts of money ranging from $80 to $200 to engage in sexual activity with her.
Once each man arrived at the meeting location, they were taken into custody by members of the Brooklawn Borough Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Williamson and Henderson were arrested on March 13, 2026. Wylen and Haviland were arrested on June 23, 2026.
They were all remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
