7 arrested after alleged robbery leads police to find guns, drugs in Cheltenham Township

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- Seven people, including three minors, were arrested after an alleged robbery in Cheltenham Township led to the discovery of guns and drugs.

The items were seized by police after they stopped a car following reports that the people inside had just robbed a Wawa on Limekiln Pike in Wyncote on Sunday.

During the stop, police say they saw one of the occupants of the vehicle attempting to hide a firearm under a seat.

Investigators say a search of the car turned up three loaded ghost guns, a large quantity of marijuana and equipment used to program key fobs.

All seven were taken into custody without incident.
