81-year-old woman struck and killed in parking lot in Mayfair

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An 81-year-old woman is dead, following a pedestrian crash in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. It happened along the 6700 block of Frankford Avenue around 6:35 p.m. Saturday night. Investigators say a 2012 Nissan Murano turned left into the ShopRite parking lot, when it hit a pedestrian. An 81-year-old woman was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she later died. Police say the driver remained on the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
