Former Penn State Abington student accused of rape surrenders to police

ABINGTON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- The former Penn State Abington student accused of raping a woman at his on-campus apartment turned himself in to police one day after the U.S. Marshals released his picture.

Abdul-Jabril Cooper, 19, is accused of raping a female student in his apartment at Penn State Abington in September 2024.

Cooper was a student at the school at the time but has since dropped out of the university.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office on July 16, 2025.

U.S. Marshals say he surrendered on Tuesday.
