ABINGTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- The principal of Abington Senior High School in Montgomery County has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of inappropriate social media posts.
In a statement on Thursday, school district officials called the situation involving Principal Alice Swift a personnel matter, adding that they could not provide more details concerning the investigation into the posts.
A student tells Action News that Swift reposted content she believed was antisemitic, but it is unclear if that is true.
The Anti-Defamation League says it is investigating.
"We'll reach out to the school district like we do with any report that comes into us with potential issues," said Anti-Defamation League Philadelphia Senior Regional Director Andrew Goretsky.
Goretsky wouldn't discuss specifics of the case until the investigation is complete.
He says antisemitic behavior is becoming more normalized. Goretsky appealed for people to report possibly antisemitic behavior or rhetoric so the ADL can investigate.
"It's very important that people report. One of the reasons people don't report is when they've either been a victim or perceive to be a victim. They have a hesitancy to report because they don't want to draw more attention to themselves," he added.
Swift has been at the head of the school since 2024.
