Arrest made in deadly October double shooting in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 22-year-old has been arrested in connection with a deadly South Philadelphia double shooting.

Abou Keita was arrested on Monday after he was located inside a parked vehicle on the 2200 block of South Felton Street, according to police.

He has been charged with murder and attempted murder, among other related offenses.

The shooting happened on October 9, just after 6 p.m., near Broad Street and Packer Avenue.

Hason Mason, 23, was killed after being shot multiple times to the face and body.

A second victim, also a 23-year-old man, was injured after more than 20 shots were fired at the pair.

The second victim was able to run to a nearby bar for help after being shot twice in the torso. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition.

One person is dead and another critically injured after more than 20 shots were fired in South Philadelphia Thursday evening, according to police.
