American Bible Society

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One of the nation's oldest organizations has a new home, right here in Philadelphia.

The American Bible Society unveiled its new headquarters at 4th and Market Streets Wednesday.

The organization, which was founded in 1816, had been located in New York City.

The new headquarters gives members a chance to interact with the tourists that visit Independence Mall.

The mission of Society is to publish, distribute, and translate bibles.
