Attempted car burglar gets stuck in vehicle due to faulty doors: Police

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, shared body camera footage of an unusual arrest after a man became trapped inside a pickup truck during an alleged burglary attempt.

Officers responded last Thursday to the LongHorn Steakhouse parking lot, where the truck's owner found the suspect locked inside.

The man told police he thought the vehicle belonged to his parents.

According to investigators, the suspect got stuck because the truck's faulty doors could only be opened from the outside, forcing officers to free him before taking him into custody.

Police identified the suspect as Jeison Henriquez Sanchez, 19. He was arrested at the scene.
