Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles in 2026: Upside remains after slow finish to 2025

Few teams and few fanbases have the capability to make an 11-6 season feel like a massive disappointment, but the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles gave everyone the blueprint.

Not only did the Eagles go under their win total for the second time in three seasons (including another upsetting 11-6 season in 2023), but they also made headlines while doing so. The NFC East and NFC preseason favorites raced out to an 8-2 record before losing four of seven to end the season. Kevin Patullo's struggling offense contributed to 10 Philly games going under, tied for the fourth most in the NFL, but his departure also means that Sean Mannion will be the fifth new offensive coordinator that QBJalen Hurts has had in the past five years. -- Kevin Pulsifer

We don't know exactly what we'll see on offense in Philadelphia, with Mannion in at offensive coordinator after serving as the quarterbacks coach for the Packers in 2025, A.J. Brown gone and Hurts and Saquon Barkley coming off down years.

But those unknowns are why the Eagles can present betting opportunities -- good or bad. Largely, I'm backing Philadelphia across the board.

The roster is still loaded -- CB Riq Woolen and LB Jonathan Greenard were great acquisitions this offseason -- so the upside is absolutely there for the Eagles to eclipse posted numbers at the books. -- Seth Walder

Let's go a little off the grid here. I've always been a believer in Dontayvion Wicksthanks to his consistently above-average-to-great open score (an advanced football metric from ESPN Analytics that measures a pass receiver's ability to get open on every route), even if it never all quite came together in Green Bay. His targets will eventually get squeezed by rookie Makai Lemon, but this bet isn't about eventually, it's about the first game or two of the season. At 250-1, why not roll the dice? -- Walder
