Body found in the Delaware River near a New Castle County park

EDGEMOOR, Del. (WPVI) -- A body was pulled from the Delaware River on Friday evening in New Castle County.

The report came in around 6 p.m. for a body in the water near Fox Point Park in Edgemoor.

The Brandywine Fire Company, Delaware State Police and rescue boats conducted a search of the water.

A short time later, a body was discovered and pulled from the water.

No further details were immediately available.
