Body found in the water at FDR Park in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a body was found in FDR Park in South Philadelphia on Friday.

Passersby found the body in the water around 12:30 p.m., police say.

Chopper 6 was overhead on Friday afternoon to find multiple officers on the scene.

The body is that of a female, police say, but no further details were known about the person's age or identity.
