ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Atlantic City International Airport hosted a special celebration for Breeze Airways on Wednesday as the carrier expands its list of destinations.
Breeze passengers took off for the airline's first flight to Charleston, South Carolina.
The non-stop roundtrip route is offered twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with introductory one-way fares starting at $49.
Breeze's expansion comes as Atlantic City International Airport lost its biggest carrier, Spirit Airlines, which ceased operations last week.
