Bucks County family sues Roblox, claims platform enabled sexual predator to target, exploit son

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Bucks County family has filed a federal lawsuit against the online gaming giant Roblox.

They claim the platform enabled a sexual predator to target and exploit their then-13-year-old son.

The family says the child was playing Roblox in 2024 when he encountered someone he thought was another child.

The suit claims that the person was an adult who then sent explicit content and coerced the child into sending graphic images in return.

Roblox denies the allegations.

The lawsuit seeks financial damages and major safety reforms.
