Cardone to layoff 1,300 Philadelphia workers

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Cardone Industries says it plans to lay off more than 1,300 workers from its two Philadelphia facilities.

Layoffs will begin in May, company officials said.

The company employs 2,500 people in Philadelphia.

Cardone is an auto parts remanufacturer.
