'Casino Royale' actress Joanna Pettet dies at 83

LOS ANGELES -- Actress Joanna Pettet, a familiar face in film, television and theater, has died at the age of 83.

Pettet built a career that spanned movies, Broadway and television over three decades.

She appeared in the 1967 James Bond spoof "Casino Royale" and became a regular presence on television throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

Her television credits included appearances on popular series such as "Night Gallery," "Mannix," "The Love Boat" and "Knots Landing."

Pettet's work across film, theater and television made her a recognizable figure in the entertainment industry for decades.

Her former manager told The Hollywood Reporter that she died Tuesday in Temecula, California.
