Child struck by vehicle outside Delaware County elementary school

A child was hurt after being struck by a vehicle outside a Delaware County school on Monday.

It happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. outside Delcroft Elementary School in the 700 block of School Lane in Folcroft.

Police say the child's mother parked in a no parking/no drop off area when the child ran in front of the mom's car and was struck by another vehicle.

The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia but is now back home, according to police.
