Congressional staffer, nurse, teacher among 2026 Eagles cheerleaders
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have announced their 32-member cheerleading roster for the upcoming season, featuring nine new members and a team whose backgrounds span a wide range of professions.
With football season just weeks away, the Eagles unveiled a squad made up of dancers from diverse careers and experiences.
Team members include professionals working in fields ranging from government and health care to education and military service.
"This process to make this team is absolutely rigorous and everyone works so hard," said Callie, a third-season veteran. "We are so lucky to have so many talented dancers on the field."
The Eagles receive applications from around the world each year from hopeful candidates seeking a spot on the cheerleading team.
Marissa, a team captain, highlighted the variety of professions represented on the roster.
"We have a congressional staffer, we have a cardiac ICU nurse, we have an Army National Guard service member representing on our team," she said.

Marissa said her own career aligns closely with some of the team's community work.
"I'm a special education teacher, and it's incredibly amazing that I can pair my love for teaching and giving back to the students and the Eagles Autism Foundation that we have," she said.
In addition to performing before more than 70,000 fans on game days, team members will participate in community events throughout the year.
The squad is scheduled to make its public debut at the Eagles' Training Camp public practice.
Tickets cost $15, with proceeds benefiting the Eagles Autism Foundation.
