10-vehicle crash ties up traffic on New Jersey Turnpike southbound in Mt. Laurel

MT. LAUREL, N.J. (WPVI) -- A crash involving 10 vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, tied up traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound during the evening rush.

It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Friday, north of Interchange 4 / Route 73 in Burlington County.

Video from Chopper 6 showed an overturned tractor-trailer and nine other heavily damaged vehicles.

Investigators say the tractor-trailer moved into the left shoulder to avoid a crash when it lost control and struck all of the other vehicles.

Six people were injured in the incident. It's believed they suffered minor injuries.
