Crews battling fire near train tracks in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Firefighters are working to extinguish a fire burning along train tracks in North Philadelphia on Friday evening.

The flames broke out around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Glenwood and Germantown avenues.

Authorities said the fire was being fueled by piles of trash in the area.

No injuries were reported.

According to Amtrak, some trains are being temporarily held due to the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
