Overturned truck prompts hazardous materials incident in Bucks County

BUCKINGHAM TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Crews were on the scene of a hazardous materials incident in Bucks County on Wednesday morning.

It happened around 6 a.m. in the 1400 block of Swamp Road, between Creamery and Mozart roads in Buckingham Township, according to the Lingohocken Fire Company.

Chopper 6 was overhead the scene, where a truck could be seen on its side.

Authorities say the truck spilled hazardous material, which prompted a shelter-in-place for residents in the area for some time.

The driver of the truck was injured and treated by first responders, but is expected to be OK.

Swamp Road was closed for several hours while crews worked to clean up the spill.

No word yet on what led up to the crash.
