
DARBY BOROUGH, Pa. (WPVI) -- An elected official in Delaware County is facing assault charges.
Investigators say Darby Borough Councilman Omar Thompson was arrested Tuesday at his home.

According to court documents, Thompson is accused of punching two people during an altercation and threatening to stab one of them with a knife. The confrontation was reportedly tied to cheating allegations.
Thompson has since been released from custody after posting bail.
