DJ Jazzy Jeff to serve as grand marshal for Philadelphia's Juneteenth Parade

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- We are just days away from the annual Juneteenth Parade.

Philadelphia's own DJ Jazzy Jeff is the grand marshal.

Hundreds of people will line the one-and-a-half-mile route this Sunday. It kicks off on Concourse Drive and travels down the historic 52nd Street corridor, ending at Malcolm X Park.

For Jazzy Jeff, it's a homecoming.

"The parade route is close to where I grew up. I cut my teeth on a lot of those streets. To be coming back as the grand marshal parade that's going to ride down those streets is mind-blowing," he said.
